Eight stages, zero compromise. This is how every San-a-canna extract is made — from living plant to finished product.
Material Selection
Great extracts demand exceptional genetics. We source and evaluate each cultivar based on terpene density, trichome structure, and genetic stability. If it doesn't qualify, it doesn't get processed — period.
Fresh Freezing
Immediately after harvest, material is flash-frozen to below -20°C. This preserves the living terpene and cannabinoid profile before any degradation can occur.
Ice Water Extraction
Trichome heads are separated using ice-cold water and precise agitation — a completely solventless process. No butane. No ethanol. No CO2. Ever.
Micron Filtration
The wash passes through precisely sized filtration screens. We collect only the highest-grade micron fractions — the ones that produce full-melt hash and premium rosin.
Freeze Drying
Hash is freeze-dried under vacuum at ultra-low temperatures, removing all moisture without heat. This preserves the full volatile terpene profile.
Low-Temp Pressing
Dried hash is pressed under carefully controlled heat and pressure — calibrated to each specific cultivar to preserve flavor, aroma, and the entourage effect.
Cold Cure
Freshly pressed rosin is cold-cured at precise temperatures, developing its final texture — glass-like consistency or smooth badder. This stage cannot be rushed.
